o I must participate in at least one of Clemson Choirs large ensembles and be an example to

others in that ensemble through my presence, preparation, and participation.

            o I am expected to attend all rehearsals.

                        TakeNote – Monday/Wednesday – 4:00-5:15            

            o I am expected to commit to all rehearsal and performance dates each semester.  For the

Fall 2007 semester, these include, but are not limited to:

• September 21-23  –Retreat
• October 5 – Cottingham Performance
• October 20 – Homecoming Concert
• November 13 – Fall Choral Concert
• December 4 – Choral Masterworks Concert

            o I must have my music prepared for each rehearsal and performance as assigned.

            o In addition to singing, performing with TakeNote includes choreography and

excellent on-stage demeanor.

            o TakeNote are often administrated by an elected Steering Committee of my peers and

I am expected to support and follow their leadership.

            o TakeNote is a course-credited class (MUSIC 342) for which I will receive a

grade based on the quality of my participation and work.

             o I represent the members of my group, Clemson Choirs, the Department of Performing Arts,

and Clemson University, so I will strive for excellence, integrity, and exemplary behavior

and attitude at all times.

This form must be completed and returned to the Director of Choral Activities prior to noon on the day of your Initial Auditions.

The Initial Audition will consist of:

• 2-3 vocal exercise to determine range, intonation, and vocal quality.
• A prepared, one-minute except of a solo from the pop genre, sung a cappella, to demonstrate musicality and stage presence.

Call-back Auditions will follow. 

You will be notified of your Call-back status within 24 hours of your Initial Audition.
