TakeNote is Clemson University's exclusive all female a cappella ensemble. The group is comprised of 12-16 women selected from the larger Clemson choral ensembles by audition. The ladies perform music ranging from "oldies but goodies" to more comtemporary song arrangements. TakeNote, entering in it tenth year as a Clemson University breakout group, continues to perform at a variety of venues such as the President's Box during football games, in local schools, and at various community functions. |

TakeNote Auditions TakeNote (MUSIC 342) is a small, a cappella ensembles comprised of approximately 16 students and focusing primarily on popular music. Membership is through audition and requires participation in either Women’s Glee or CU Singers. For the initial audition, students should complete an application and prepare a brief solo passage from a familiar pop piece. The solo, to be sung a cappella, should demonstrate musicality, tone quality, and stage presence. Call-back auditions will follow. Applications will be available at the first rehearsals of CU Singers and Women’s Glee. Please click here for a printable copy of the audition application. We are having auditions on Wednesday, January 11 at 5:30 in 117 Brooks. Callbacks will be Thursday, January 12 in Brooks also. Be prepared to do some pitch-matching, blending exercises, and scales.
